The year is 2050, in a near future dystopia America. In this America, women are forced to have their eggs removed and harvested once they have their first menstrual period. In order to have children, you must apply to the government to be gifted with one of your eggs. Falon and Lynx, after years of applying, have failed their last and final procreation interview. To make matters worse, Lynx's younger sister Robyn has forced herself into their lives by taking up residence in their home. Falon and Robyn embark on a journey, with the help of their AI machine, to escape the government who seeks control of their bodies and save Lynx from execution.

"Stop fixing your bodies and start fixing the world!" ― Eve Ensler

In the show The New York Times describes as "bristling with wisecracks and wisdom," Eve Ensler- author of the international sensation The Vagina Monologues- takes an inside look at our outsides.  From botox to bikinis and everything in between, this play explores the all too familiar body image battle females from middle school through menopause face on a daily basis.  This provocative, hilarious, and profoundly moving show promises to leave you laughing and feeling beautiful-inside and out.
Local favorite Lindsay Eagle directs some of Boston’s finest actresses, including Julia Alvarez, Lauren Elias, W Laurie Ewer, Paola M. Ferrer, Sanaa Kazi, Sally Nutt and Regine Vital in this frank and funny show.  Profoundly satisfying, The Good Body will leave you hungry for a good meal and great conversation.

Donations of toiletries will be collected at each performance for area womens' shelters.
